    Frequently asked questions

Why does my photo look sideways on some websites?

Phones often save photos sideways and store the correct orientation in hidden EXIF data, which some sites ignore. Rotating here saves the pixels the right way round, so it looks correct everywhere.

Can I rotate by a small angle to straighten a photo?

Yes. Choose Custom angle and enter, for example, 2 or -3 degrees. The corners are filled with a colour of your choice or left transparent.

    Does rotating reduce quality?

Rotating by 90° steps keeps every pixel. JPG files are re-saved at high quality (92); choose PNG if you need a lossless copy.

Can I rotate many images at once?

Yes — drop as many as you like and they are all rotated with the same setting.

    Are my images uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser.
